Welcome to Hauptwerk sampleset creator Sygsoft!

PLEASE NOTE: THIS WEBSITE IS NOT YET IN USE. PLEASE GO TO: www.hauptwerk.nl

This website has been set up with the following objectives:

To publicize, nationally and worldwide, the cultural-historical richness of church organs and other keyboard instruments in the Netherlands and in our neighboring countries.
To preserve the sound richness and authenticity of these instruments for the future.
Bringing the use of the Hauptwerk program to the attention of all organists and harpsichordists at home and abroad.

Sygsoft has already recorded and released some interesting organs: to our organs.

The Sygsoft Holland team

"In the night hours, when it is completely dark and quiet outside, we set out to record the most beautiful church organs for you. Sometimes it is so cold that our breath becomes visible. We are also willing to sleep deprived. And the thousands of hours of work afterwards. After carefully placing the recording equipment, we get to work. Pipe by pipe, register by register, with and without tremulant, the blowing of the wind motor, the sound of the draw stops. All sounds in and around the organ find their way. With the sweet sounds of the flutes we have to do our best to stay awake and then be wide awake again when those soft sounds give way to the thunderous 32' foot in the pedal. impressive and overwhelming in the dark church and the silence of the night. Sometimes we have to stop for a while, when the tapping of the rain becomes too heavy or another plane passes by. The nights are magical but last very long. About 3 nights -4 with little ti me for daily activities. When we close the door of the church behind us after the last shots, we get tired but satisfied in our car and drive into the dim sunrise. A single bird begins its song in the early morning. Back home there is finally some more time to relax. Nevertheless, people usually work hard in the evening on that day. Started the thousands of hours of work ahead. We get to work full of enthusiasm. We are eager to hear the first sounds. The birth of a new sample set.."

Hauptwerk

The computer program Hauptwerk was developed in 2002 by Martin Dyde, director of the former English company Crumhorn Labs, now hauptwerk.com. With this program it is possible to play various, often famous church and theater organs, harpsichords and even a harmonium with CD quality (or better) at home. Since 2002, organs and other keyboard instruments with often great historical value have been recorded and made available to everyone by various companies and private individuals all over the world (for anyone who has the right equipment). For a comprehensive overview of what is currently available on the market, see Instruments worldwide. Instruments released by Sygsoft Holland can be found below.
